Iran sending mixed messages. Some want help, others want us to stop meddling. What do you think?

I'm on twitter and highly involved in the tweeting and re-tweeting of protest supporting messages. Today I get a tweet from someone saying the US should stop meddling. Not meddling, just verbally offering support. Our gov. has simply said to our reporters the way we feel about it. They tweeted a mcript in Farsi where it was made clear that we do not want to get involved but we are saddened at what is happening. These people who accuse us of meddling really need to watch an episode of Scooby Doo because talking amongst ourselves is not meddling, lol. What do you think?
