Sound gets disabled everytime I boot up computer?

I recently installed a new hard drive to my pc and uploaded windows and all drivers. But the sound, which was integrated into the motherboard, didn't work. I put in a new sound card, a Sound Blaster Creative SB Audigy, and the sound came back. However, when I reboot the pc, the sound completely turns off, even though volume adjustments are as they should be, and drivers are installed. I got it to work again by uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers. Can anyone suggest a permanent fix for this problem?
