Should i of reacted like this or did i over - react?

no you didnt over react... i would of done the same... well you know without the whole shocky and flipy thingy, but i would prob of scratched the guys eyes out............. and just tell him it will be ok, hug him, do something stupid ( to make him laugh) or do something he likes
