CATHOLICS ONLY PLEASE?

Hello Charbel; you pose a difficult Q for us here in the states. We hear that Islam is very hard on Christians in the middle east. Some of us are acquainted with Lebanese Christians who fled to here in the 80s with horror stories of Muslim atrocities driving them from their homes. Many had bullet and shrapnel wounds to prove their tales. We American Catholics are not united in our support of anyone over there. I for 1, do not believe that the modern state of Israel is the one foretold in scriptures. I for 1, support Christians over there. I do not think the evangelicals support Israel to spite Muslims. I think they believe that the modern state of Israel is going to usher in their rapture, and the end of days. America has a majority of protestant Christians, and they feel that it is their duty to bring Catholics everywhere to their own brand of belief, and there are many different brands among them. We are not even united in our feelings on Muslims, here or over seas. You may be the 1st person any of us have ever heard say that Christians and Muslims are united and peaceful in the middle east.
